IFFAsia Batch of 2019 Presents their Development Action Plan (DAP) Proposals

In line with Fondacio’s vision “Building a more Humane and Just world”, we in IFFAsia encourage our participants to take part in making positive impact according to their context and reality. Each of our participants during their IFFAsia formation will propose a Development Action Plan (DAP) – a project aimed to serve or contribute to building their church/ society. Their DAP will then be implemented with their sending organization after their formation in the Philippines. This will serve as their 2-year internship on the ground.

On Sept 13-14, 2019, the 17 IFFAsia participants presented the proposals of their Development Action Plan; 11 participants for the Pastoral Leadership and 6 participants for the Development Leadership specialization.

The project proposals included a range of concerns such as building indigenous youth leadership, empowering youth ministry, developing a Catechism program for children, a sustainable spirituality for the youth, launching a Fondacio Youth Livelihood and Development Center (YLDC) program. Others included projects for ecology conversions, ensuring a sustainable agriculture project, a nutritional project for the Internally Displaced People (IDP) and a scholarship program for the poor.

Each participant experienced presenting their proposals to invited panelists from our network of partners, who gave their affirmation and suggestions to each of them. It has been an enriching experience for both the panelists and the presenters too.

We pray for the success of each of our participants in implementing their Development Action Plan as they return to their respective countries to contribute in building a more humane and just world!
