Youth Summer Camp 2017

Summer is not complete without Youth Camp! Yes, it’s that time of the year when young adults are looking for some fun filled activities yet a meaningful one. Fondacio Philippines just organized a one of a kind summer camp this year! Themed, “Disconnect to Reconnect: a Journey Towards a New Life”.

The three days two nights camp took place in Philip Sanctuary in Antipolo. It’s a perfect place to hold our camp because of its location far from the city and from all network signal! Definitely perfect to disconnect from the worldly way of life like habits and virtual world to reconnect to what is essential in our life. Not only that, the venue was a perfect place to have fun and also to find time to reconnect with our relationship with God. Camp Philip gave us a little slice of heaven because we experienced being one with nature.

Our goal was to help campers grow in their faith and become healthy, capable of living and working with others in a community setting where they can create lasting relationships with important people in their lives. For that we had small group sharing, times of solitude, good times of singing and praying for each other. These experiences brought us to encounter God and one another.

The campers also participated in all the team building outdoor activities of Camp Philip’s. We were divided into two groups. We chose a leader whom we find unassuming but has the potential to grow, and we created our team name, battle cry and team cheer! (You’ll see it in the video) Some of the activities we did were the Unity walk, Low ropes course and obstacle course.
