Fondacio Asia launched its Path of Discipleship on June 26, 2026, marking the start of a year-long journey of faith formation open to members and communities across the region. The program runs from July 2026 to July 2027 and is built around a single, unifying mission: Friendship with Jesus, leading to a Mission of Compassion for the World.
The Path of Discipleship is Fondacio Asia’s response to a deep and shared longing within its communities, to grow not only in personal faith but in the kind of missionary discipleship that reaches outward, toward others and toward the world. It was introduced following a period of communal discernment among members and leaders across Asia, and it reflects years of shared experience in faith formation, community building, and mission.

What the Path of Discipleship is
The Path of Discipleship is a structured yet personal journey through four movements: Awakening, Deepening, Transformation, and Mission. Each movement invites participants into a deeper experience of God’s love and a clearer sense of purpose and calling. The journey is not a classroom program. It is a lived experience of faith formation, walked in community, with companions and guides at every step.
The path is designed for both youth and adults, recognizing that faith formation looks different depending on where a person is in life. Young people are accompanied through questions of identity, belonging, and purpose. Adults are guided through the integration of faith into work, relationships, family, and leadership. Both are drawn toward the same destination: a life shaped by the compassion of Christ and given in service to others.
A community walking together
At its core, the Path of Discipleship is a communal journey. Fondacio Asia has always believed that faith grows best not in isolation but in the company of others who are asking the same questions, seeking the same God, and walking the same road. This program makes that belief concrete, gathering members across the region into one shared movement of missionary discipleship over the course of a full year.
The vision is captured simply in five words: Encounter, Belong, Grow, Serve, Multiply. These are not just stages to pass through. They are ways of being in the world, of relating to God and to one another, and of participating in a mission that is larger than any one person or community.
Faith that goes beyond
What sets the Path of Discipleship apart is its insistence that personal faith and social responsibility belong together. To be formed as a missionary disciple is to be formed for the world, not apart from it. Participants are not only invited to grow spiritually but to bring that growth into their families, workplaces, and communities, contributing to reconciliation, service to the vulnerable, and the care of creation.
Fondacio Asia believes that the world is changed not through programs alone but through people whose hearts have been transformed. The Path of Discipleship is an invitation to that transformation, and it begins now.
