IFFASIA OPENS 2026 SELF-LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR YOUNG ASIAN LEADERS

Now in its sixth year, the Institute of Formation Fondacio Asia invites young adults across the region to unlearn, relearn, and gain new insights through a five-month online journey of growth, reflection, and integral leadership.

The Institute of Formation Fondacio Asia (IFFAsia) is now accepting applications for its 2026 Self-Leadership Development Program (SLDP). Designed for young adults across Asia, SLDP offers a distinctive online formation experience focused on leadership from the inside out.

Running from June 30 to November 27, 2026, the program meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 to 10:00 PM (Manila Time). Young professionals, pastoral workers, NGO staff, and student leaders across Asia may apply.

At the heart of the SLDP is an invitation to “become more.” Participants go beyond skill-building. They deepen their character, self-awareness, and capacity to lead with integrity and purpose.

This year’s program offers five modules. Module 1, Life Choices and Values + Reading Skills: Path to Self-Leadership, introduces personal values, life choices, and reflective reading skills. In Module 2, Critical Thinking, participants learn to engage clearly and courageously with complex realities. Module 3, Nurturing Multiple Intelligence, helps participants discover their strengths and share knowledge effectively. Through Module 4, Being Whole, Being Me, participants learn to embrace both strengths and weaknesses. Module 5, Catholic Social Teaching on Rights and Responsibilities, challenges participants to bring personal growth into the communities they serve.

Those who have walked this path speak to its lasting effect. Boudsady from Laos, who participated in the program last year, put it plainly, “My experience in the online program was meaningful and helped me for the formation in the Philippines. I became more aware of myself and the way I communicate with other people. So in different situations I gain more knowledge. When I came to the face-to-face program, I feel more ready to adjust myself to community life. The way I communicate with other people also helped me to grow personally and spiritually.”

Her words reflect what many past participants carry forward — a transformation that continues beyond the program itself.

For IFFAsia, whose mission is summed up in the phrase Christians for the World, SLDP brings together spiritual formation and civic responsibility. The program helps young Asian leaders build self-awareness and resilience. It also prepares them to make a meaningful difference in their communities.

Applications for the 2026 Self-Leadership Development Program are now open. Young adults across Asia who are ready to grow may register at https://forms.gle/XTDEqG6pdARfnpZD6.
